Each year AWS selects charities to partner with. See our 2020 / 2021 charities below.
Oakleaf has been helping the Surrey community manage its mental ill-health since 1997.
The charity’s aim is to transform the lives and futures of adults with mental ill-health and help them secure the skills, confidence and training needed to return to the workplace and live full, meaningful lives. This pathway is delivered via three main focuses: work-related training, well-being activities & courses, and counselling services.
Oakleaf also aims to promote awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Your Sanctuary offers support and empowerment to anyone affected by Domestic Abuse and enable children to be seen, heard and validated. They challenge mind sets to change attitudes and facilitate informed choices.
Helpline Service available between 9am and 9pm, 365 days per year and two safe houses for women and their children fleeing Domestic Abuse
What started as a idea of a charity shop to improve access to children' clothes and equipment has since developed into much more. B@titude has a tea and coffee area that has become an integral part of the community; allowing mums, dads and grandparents, a chance to relax while children can play in the play area.
There are many different projects that happen both inside and outside of the shop. They offer counselling to individuals who otherwise couldn’t afford it. In the summers holidays they organise trips to places such as London Zoo, Hobbledown Farm & the beach.
